Occasionally (and affectionately) called “Booth God,” the Booth (or Scoring) Supervisor is the composer’s representative in the booth during the scoring session, carefully following the score while monitoring each “take.” His responsibility is to use his powers of intense concentration and a highly-skilled ear to dig out the tiniest flaws in the performance as they happen and then to use good judgment on the necessity and/or wisdom of using valuable session time to repair them, and then his technical and diplomatic skill to make it happen quickly.
Please go HERE to find excerpts from two of my articles on this vital role to give you some idea of why the position is so critical and how I approach its duties. For client feedback on my performance of those duties, please see my endorsements page.*Article-Booth%20Sprvsn.htmlshapeimage_2_link_0
